On Site Essentials

Over the past few years throughout the establishment of The Events Depot we have had the opportunity to analyse the market and work closely with various on-site and production teams throughout the build and break to identify the most commonly sought after items and their significance. Not only did we see the lack of stock in the South West but we also witnessed an unexpected demand for particular products. So what did we do?

Over the last coming year we have had the opportunity to invest in equipment as well as continuing to build relationships with local and national suppliers to assist on items not in our stock holdings.

Now… Let’s get into the nitty gritty and explore these products. Working directly with various teams, we saw the demand for these items that might not initially seem obvious, but actually align perfectly with practical needs.

Petrol Post Rammers

Considered the ultimate solution, and certainly the holy grail product. Not many tool hire companies stock the Petrol Post Rammer due to their reservations on durability, nevertheless we maintain and look after our equipment after each hire. If you’re only looking to drive in anywhere between 5-50 putlocks and or wooden stakes(of a 4 inch diameter..!) then this tool is made for this task. The Petrol Post Rammer allows full control into getting the putlocks level and secure into the ground. We suggest that this is carried out as a 2 person task for efficiency and safety purposes.

However if you are on the build of a more larger scale of an event and wanting to drive hundreds of putlocks into the ground, there no dedicated tool other than resorting to the traditional farmer methods using a tractor and post basher attachment.

Tool/Site Vaults

Typically used for the construction industry as on site storage for tools and important equipment, we have seen an increased demand for the use of site vaults on events.

The uses expand from their roots including the storage of tools, as well safekeeping of wristbands for accreditation purposes and important documents.

We supply our event clients with heavy duty site vaults with either the options of fork lift skids, or wheels for easy manoeuvrability as well as boasting features including twin 5 lever deadlocks and constructed using steel.

Access Cage

Working at height done safely!

We have seen an increase in demand for access cages due to their compatibility with tele handlers on an event site. The cages are primarily utilised for installing and removing festoon lighting as well as other light and decor installations that may be placed around site.

All access cages must be used as per manufacturers guidelines including the use of a safety harness and the correct amount of person (S) in the cage.
